How do you prepare your body and mind before playing your instrument?
As musicians, we often focus on technical exercises but forget that our body, breath, and mind are also part of our instrument.

The Warm-Up for Musicians is a creative and research-based project that introduces a “warm-up menu” — a collection of practical techniques and exercises drawn from disciplines such as Yoga, Body Mapping, Flow, and Imagery, combined with core engagement practices, breathing exercises, and mental training tools specifically adapted for musicians.

This “menu” allows each musician to choose different warm-up elements depending on their needs, available time, or focus for the day — creating a more mindful, flexible, and body-aware approach to daily practice.

The project encourages musicians to reconnect with themselves, prevent injuries, and cultivate a balanced, healthy relationship with their instrument and performance routine.

Developed through artistic research, multidisciplinary expert collaboration, and experimentation with musicians from diverse backgrounds, The Warm-Up for Musicians can be shared as workshops, talks, or interactive sessions for conservatories, universities, and music institutions worldwide.
