The Soul behind the clarinet

“Music is a bridge between body, mind, and environment.”

Cristina Quesada

I’m Cristina Quesada, a clarinetist, teacher, and lifelong learner.

I understand music as a space of connection, between body and mind, performer and listener, silence and the sound that transforms everything.

My way of playing comes from the same place as my way of living: presence.

Every breath shapes the music, and every silence teaches us how to listen.

“The body is the first instrument; the clarinet, its echo and voice of expression.”

Cristina Quesada

During my studies, I discovered that beyond technique lies something deeper, the union of body, mind, and emotion as one expressive tool.

Education

Educated in Spain, Austria, and the Netherlands, I’ve had the privilege of learning from inspiring international teachers and growing in environments where curiosity and respect guide the music.

Experience

From that search emerged my project The Warm-Up for Musicians, a practical guide to help other performers find balance and freedom in their playing.

Passion

My other passion, yoga, inspired me to create Yin&Sound, a meeting between breath, stillness, and live clarinet music, where sound becomes a companion for meditation and inner awareness.

Teaching as shared art

I teach clarinet lessons for all ages and levels, from curious beginners to professionals wishing to reconnect with their instrument.
My approach is warm, dynamic, and mindful.
More than teaching how to play, I aim to accompany each student in their personal musical journey.

“Music is not only learned — it’s felt, breathed, and shared.”
